Monster pot holes claim another tire and ticks me off

The pot holes got me again.

I was driving home from the Palace Monday night when the low tire pressure light came on. I got out of the car, looked at my left rear tire and noticed there was no pressure in the tire.

It was completely blown. I figured I ran over glass or a nail popped my tire.

The next day I went to the local mechanic and they told me there was nothing inside the tire. They suspected a giant pot hole popped my tire.

Come again? A pot hole?

“Yeah.” the man said. “We are seeing it all the time. These monsters are popping tires all over the place.”

So let me get this straight. We’ve had to deal with the Polar Vortex three times, a record amount of snow and now because of it our road are crumbling before our eyes. We are spending an extra $500 each on blown tires, blown shocks and shocked cars during this winter of bad roads and bad weathers.

I’ve gotten clipped twice already this winter with new tires. Both times I ran over a monster pot hole. I know what you are thinking. Why not try to avoid them? There are so many of them the only way I could avoid them is to drive on the side walk.
There are streets near me that are so bad that they look like gravel roads. There are pot holes so deep that they’ve had to save small families that were trapped inside of them.

I am so sick and tired of this winter. Can we end this mess?
